Türkiye: 4.8 Magnitude Earthquake storms the City of Manisa

The Türkiye Emergency and Disaster Management Authority (AFAD) reported on Monday the occurrence of a magnitude 4.8 earthquake in the Turkish city of Manisa, in the west of the country.

“We convey to Manisa our wishes for her to recover soon,” AFAD shared on its X social network account.
He also reported that the earthquakes were reported in the district of Soma, at 01H36 (local time).
The agency also reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10.24 kilometers.
Although there are reports of perceptibility in the area, so far there are no references to damage or loss of human life.
The Turkish city of Manisa has a population of 244,000 and, according to the authorities, the low depth of the earthquake caused it to feel stronger in the area near the epicenter.
